Jali cut turtle is handmade
with Kadamba wood which is also known as white wood. The design of carving used is called Jali cutting. Jali cutting is quite complex and is a process
of removing the wood inside the figurine leaving behind the intricately
interconnected design. The figurine is carved
with a baby inside and it is quite artistic and aesthetic. This turtle
is finely by giving careful attention to minute details, is created by
highly
skilled and experienced artists in India.
We offer a variety of arts, crafts and,
toys that are handmade using naturally available vegetable dyes called
Lacquer dyes. The art of making these crafts and toys is centuries old
and the tradition is passed on through generations within the families.
