WOODEN JALI CUT FISH: We all love fish and they have found a place among us and several religions for millennia. All over the world there are thousand of aquariums exhibiting fish or a mini aquariums in most houses and of course the restaurants serving fish.
This
Jali cut fish is handmade
with Kadamba wood also known as white wood. The particular design of carving is
called Jali cutting. The Jali cutting is quite complex and is a process
of removing the wood inside the figurine leaving behind the intricately
interconnected design. This Jali cut fish is carved
with a baby inside and it is quite artistic and aesthetic. The fish figurine is finely carved by
highly
skilled and experienced artists in India.
We offer a variety of arts, crafts and,
toys that are handmade using naturally available vegetable dyes called
Lacquer dyes. The art of making these crafts and toys is centuries old
and the tradition is passed on through generations within the families.
